Hunters Country House

Family friendly and suitable for children of all ages, Hunters Country House is sensitive to the needs of all our guests, young and old. Hunters Country House has a dedicated recreational area for children, Cubs’ Corner, open and fully supervised by trained staff from 07h30 to 18h30.  Cubs’ Corner provides a safe, child-friendly environment with outdoor and indoor activities for kids. The enclosed garden and play area has a jungle gym, shaded sandpit and paddling facilities.  The Cub House comprises of a TV / Video games room, a dining area, a kitchenette, ablutions and baby changing facilities.

To ensure children are kept busy and happy, there is a wide selection of games, toys, art materials, play dough, books, videos and more. Cubs’ Corner is also stocked with light snacks, fruit, beverages, ice cream, sun block and diapers. Activities can be arranged by our team to ensure that each day is filled with fun. Parents wanting some time to sightsee or simply relax, undisturbed, at the poolside can confidently leave their children in our care. For the older children, our Teen Scene area is equipped with a popcorn machine, movies and games to ensure that they too are kept entertained throughout their stay.

In the evenings a child-minding service is available to guests in their suites between 19h00 and 23h00 at a nominal charge. Alternative times may be arranged as required.

Tsala Treetop Lodge

Tsala with its treetop suites and villas is what fantasies are made of, and for any child it is a true adventure to sleep in their very own tree house.  Children of 10 years and older are welcomed at our Tsala Suites and in the 2-bed roomed Villas.

Gorah Elephant Camp

Through direct exposure to wildlife and nature, the children of today become the conservationists of tomorrow. Recognising the huge benefit children derive from a bush experience, Gorah welcomes children from 10 years old.

Children up to the age of 15 are accommodated on luxury stretchers in their parents’ suite (maximum of two children per suite). Toys, board games and special menus are available on request. Parents are requested to ensure that their children’s participation in no way detracts from the experience of other guests. Because of the proximity of large numbers of wild and potentially dangerous animals, unruly or disruptive behaviour not only negatively affects the quality of game viewing for others, it can also seriously compromise guest safety.

Children accommodated at Gorah are at all times the sole responsibility of their parents.
